Establishments like Cranbury Pizza are safe bets for no nonsense meals, but this place also offers something more than that when the weather is nice and warm. Outdoor seating along the sidewalk and by the side of the restaurant provide an upgrade to the casual and typical indoor seating. And especially when the sun goes down and the strings of lights begin to twinkle, it's a little magic in this small town.
On this night we opened a lightweight bottle of blueberry wine we brought from Maine, to share with my mother-in-law and her cousin. We started with salad and complimentary bread, ordered a baked ziti, a cheese steak, and pie with half meatball and half bacon. It was a nice sampler, and everything was just right.
And you know what else makes this place good? My favorite ice cream spot is just a few steps away.
