Sandwiches in Rocky Hill

Eating lunch is one of the smartest ways to sample a nice restaurant's cuisine for a fraction of the cost. This summer, I ventured out to Rocky Hill during the workday to try their lunch menu. Above is a chicken tarragon salad sandwich with hand-cut fries at the Rocky Hill Tavern (the chicken salad had apples and walnuts, and it was divine) and below is a soft-shell crab sandwich, also with hand-cut fries at One 53 (too fishy for my taste, but the horseradish dip was tasty).
Going to these two places makes me wish my lunch breaks were longer. What's the point of the lunch specials when I can't partake in them more often?
